Oath is a legacy strategy board game, for one to six players, in which players will influence the course of history in a centuries-old world.

The consequences of one game will ripple through those that follow, modifying the resources and actions available to future players and even altering the game's main victory condition.

If one player takes control by promoting anarchy and betrayal, the other players will face a land overrun by thieves and petty warlords. In a later game, a warlord might attempt to found a dynasty, creating a line of rulers that could last for generations or be crushed by the rise of a terrible arcane cult.
