Sushi Dice (ML)
Once upon a time…
Only the fastest and most careful clerks will be able to join the prestigious kitchen brigade. You will therefore have to prepare sushi platters faster than your opponents and, above all, track down the slightest of their mistakes.
Stack on the side, face down, all the sushi platters then turn over three of them, face up, in the center of the table. The bell must be accessible to all. The oldest player takes 6 dice of the same color then chooses, for the first duel, his opponent who takes the 6 remaining dice. It is very important that each duelist has a set of dice of a different color.
One of the players gives the starting signal and, from this moment, each duelist rolls his dice in order to be the first to obtain all the symbols present on one of the three visible boards. They play simultaneously and can freely set aside or re-roll all or part of the dice at any time, without ever waiting for their opponent. They must not announce the board attempted and may change their minds during the duel.
The Star face counts as a joker. It can replace any symbol needed to make a board.
When a player obtains on his dice all the elements present on one of the three trays, he rings the bell and the duel ends immediately. He wins the board thus created.
The dice pass to the left neighbors of the duelists. A new board is revealed and the next duel can begin. It may happen that a player connects several duels.
If one of the duelists notices that his opponent has obtained a Berk! symbol, he shouts "Yerk!". His opponent must then immediately re-roll ALL his dice, including those he had put aside. It is therefore CAPITAL to keep an eye on your opponent's dice and quickly reroll your own Berk! before his opponent had time to see them. Only players who roll the dice can shout “Yuck!”.
During a duel, players who are not involved in it must observe the two opponents. If these each get at least one Berk! at the same time, the observers shout "Mate!", which immediately ends the ongoing duel. The one who shouted “Mate!” the first takes a series of dice and gives the other series to the player who has won the fewest boards (he chooses between any ties).
The game ends as soon as a player has won a sufficient number of boards, i.e.:
This lucky little guy immediately wins the game and thus secures a prestigious position in the largest sushi restaurant in the region. But he is asked to pay a round of sake to his humiliated opponents!
