The devastating force of the Xitle eruption completely buried and destroyed Cuicuilco and Copilco, two important civic and religious towns. The survivors dispersed across Mesoamerica, many settling in and around Teotihuacan. The rapid infusion results in accelerated growth of Teotihuacan and leads to the adoption of new technologies as Teotihuacan establishes itself as a seat of power in the region.

Teotihuacan: Shadow of Xitle adds ten new technologies and ten new starting tiles to the game.

New technologies improve advanced strategies and add incredible variety to the gaming experience by doubling the number of possible technologies. During setup, you randomly choose six technologies as usual, making sure that no two games are the same!

The new starting tiles provide new starting options for you to experiment, further deepening your gaming experience!
