*Kyoto No Koneko: Hide-and-Seek Kittens* (*Koneko* = Kitten) is a Microgame designed for young children and the whole family.
Players face a 4x4 grid of cards showing only pairs of eyes; these eyes are meant to indicate how many felines will be revealed if a player chooses to flip the card over.
On their turn, a player reveals a Mission card (shaped like a cat's head) that specifies the exact number of kittens they need to uncover.
The catch?
The number of eye pairs on the front doesn't necessarily match the number of kittens on the back.
Some kittens have their eyes closed, while others might wink and huddle side-by-side, creating the appearance of just a single pair of eyes!
This is sure to trick players around the table, as they can't always trust what they see on the front of the cards—leading to plenty of surprises when the chosen card is finally revealed!
Players will need to rely on their memory to complete their mission—remembering, for instance, that behind that single pair of eyes might actually be four mischievous kittens!
