Description

Bourg-Chardon is the most vibrant village in the world, so much so that it’s hard to keep up with everything that’s going on: who won first prize for pastries at the local fair, who dug into Mrs. Roncemûre’s carrot patch…

As editor-in-chief of one of the local dailies, it’s your job to tell these stories!

The front page is due in a few hours, and you don’t have time to quibble. Get the juiciest stories before your competitors, and don’t forget to take the right shots. Like any self-respecting business, a newspaper needs to find funding—so think about advertising! After collecting an assortment of articles, photos, and ads, you need to lay out your front page. Have you collected enough tiles to fill the entire page without having to make any cuts? Three exciting days await you, and it’s up to you to prove that you’re the best editor-in-chief there is!

During each timed round, players simultaneously collect Newspaper tiles and pile them up on their desks until they think they’ve collected everything they need to produce the perfect front page. They then shout “Layout!” and start composing their page, carefully arranging the columns, articles, photographs, and advertisements. When everything is ready, they shout “Draw!”, hoping that their newspaper will be the first to be printed – which will allow them to choose their column in the next round.

Help the animals of Bourg-Chardon tell their stories by publishing the best front page in the entire village!
