Description

In The Gang, a cooperative version of Texas Hold’em, players bet on the strength of their hand of cards compared to the other players, then try to make their predictions come true.

Players take on the role of seasoned gangsters who join forces to pull off a daring heist of three supposedly impregnable safes. Strategy, communication, and teamwork are essential to succeed in this legendary heist.

“The Gang” takes place over several “heists,” each consisting of four rounds. Players must evaluate the strength of their hand without directly speaking to each other about the cards, using chips to indicate the strength of their combinations. Unlike traditional poker games, bluffing is prohibited. Players must listen to each other’s visual cues to make the best decisions. The goal is to pull off at least three heists, or the game is lost.

Compared to traditional poker games, “The Gang” stands out for its cooperative aspect and the absence of bluffing. The rules have been simplified, allowing everyone, even those who have never played poker, to easily immerse themselves in the adventure. It is possible to increase the difficulty for more experienced players, thus offering a nice progression curve.

• The Cooperative version of Poker
• A mechanic already known to the public
