Spiral powder is a wonderful, transcendent and orgasmic drug. This is what those who consume it say, eyes wide open to reveal blue fractals in place of their irises. The consumption of spiral powder is increasing. But why ? Who is the Dustman who, in the shadows, distributes this strange substance? And why do those who consume large quantities end up disappearing without leaving a trace?

In The Dark Spiral, the characters are investigators from The Domain, a secret organization dedicated to protecting Earth. A mission to shut down the activities of a local spiral powder trafficker will take them much further than expected. They follow a lead that will lead them to discover other limited universes, called recursions where reality is governed by different rules.
The gamemaster can mix the main story arc with estate side missions (in any order they choose) to create a mini-campaign. The Dark Spiral introduces players to the wonders of translation between the worlds of The Strange and introduces the game's narrative structure.
