In 2083, humanity has been extinct for several decades. In this abandoned world, monkeys gather in tribes and tame human objects. At the head of one of these tribes, you must guide it on the path to collective intelligence.

To win in After us, you must reach 80 victory points before your opponents. Each round, all players will simultaneously draw the first 4 cards from their deck and then assemble them, from left to right, to form activation cartridges. They will then resolve these cartridges, one by one, from left to right, to gain resources, victory points or activate the special abilities of their primates. The whole point of the game is therefore to assemble it judiciously, depending on what you want to get from the cards you have drawn.
Once this activation phase is resolved, all players have the opportunity to add a new ape to their tribe: powerful gorilla, ingenious orangutan, versatile chimpanzee or learned mandrill. This choice depends as much on their specific abilities as on the resources available to the players.
